Earlier in her career, she worked at Temple Beth El of Fort Myers as a BEFTY Advisor from 2013 to 2017. Her experience also includes serving as a Residential Advisor at the American Hebrew Academy, a Jewish boarding school that emphasizes academic excellence and Jewish values.

Her involvement with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) has been extensive, spanning more than fifteen years. Beame was a Unit Head at URJ 6 Points Sports Academy in North Carolina and previously a camper at both URJ Kutz Camp and URJ Camp Coleman. During her high school years, she was active on youth group boards, demonstrating early leadership in community engagement. These formative experiences helped shape her commitment to guiding Jewish youth and fostering a strong sense of identity and connection within her community.

Academically, Elana Beame holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Studies and Criminal Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). During her time there, she led the university’s Hillel chapter for three years and was recognized as the Registered Student Organization President of the Year in 2015 for her contributions. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Jewish Educational Leadership from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, a respected institution known for preparing leaders in Jewish education and spiritual life.

Beame continues to expand her professional development as a member of the LEEP Cohort with NewCAJE, an organization dedicated to advancing Jewish education. Her work reflects a blend of academic insight, practical experience, and a long-standing dedication to community engagement.
