Kristine Rembach, originally from Ghent, New York, is a Human Rights Lawyer with a remarkable professional background in the field of human rights and refugee law.

Currently, Kristine holds the position of Co-Director/Geschäftsführerin at the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) Europe, a role she has held since September 2022. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Complementary Pathways at IRAP from January 2018 to September 2022. Kristine has also worked as a Regional Consultant at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation from September 2017 to November 2017, and as the Director of the Refugee Legal Aid Program at St. Andrew’s Refugee Services (StARS) from May 2015 to June 2017.

In her earlier career, Kristine gained experience in legal practice. She worked as a Partner and Associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, specializing in White Collar, Investigations, and Compliance, from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, she served as a Pro Bono Attorney for the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2009 to 2014, handling asylum representations in collaboration with various nonprofit organizations. Kristine also worked as a Litigation Associate at Hunton & Williams and Paul Hastings.

Kristine Rembach is an American female. She earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2004. Furthermore, in 2019, she participated in a Summer School program on European Union Law and Policy on Immigration and Asylum at the Université libre de Bruxelles. Kristine completed her undergraduate studies at Boston College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry.

Kristine will be showcasing her knowledge and expertise as a contestant on Season 39 of Jeopardy, with her episode scheduled to air on June 7, 2023.
